We collect personal information in the following ways:

Company enquiries. When a hiring manager or company representative submits our enquiry form, we receive their name, company, work email address, the role or roles they are hiring for and any message they include.

Candidate enquiries. When someone contacts us through our talent form, we receive their name, email address and, where provided, a LinkedIn or professional profile link, current role and a description of what they are considering next.

Information you share with us directly. If you send us a CV or share career information by email, telephone, message or during a conversation, we hold that information. This may include employment history, technical experience, education, salary or package expectations, notice period, location, work authorisation status and notes from our discussions.

Professional sources. As part of search work we also collect professional information from professional networking platforms and other legitimate publicly available professional sources, such as company websites, conference material and public technical contributions.

Communications. We retain correspondence with candidates and prospective clients so that we have an accurate record of what was discussed and agreed.

Please do not include sensitive personal information (for example health, ethnicity or religious information) in a website form or unsolicited email. We do not ask for it and do not need it to have an initial conversation.

We use personal information to respond to enquiries; to understand a company’s hiring requirements; to identify individuals whose experience may be relevant to a search; to contact those individuals about a specific opportunity; to discuss roles, expectations and career considerations; to make introductions between a candidate and a company where there is genuine mutual interest and the candidate has agreed; to keep accurate records of our search activity and communications; and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not use personal information to make automated decisions about individuals, and we do not sell personal information.

Legitimate interests. We rely on our legitimate interest in carrying on a search business — and the legitimate interests of companies seeking to hire and professionals seeking relevant opportunities — when we contact professionals in a work capacity about a specific role, record professional information relevant to a search, and communicate with prospective clients. We consider the privacy impact of this processing and use only professional information proportionate to that purpose.

Consent. We rely on your consent where you choose to send us your CV or career details, and specifically before we share your information with any named company. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing contact@senqivo.com.

Contract. Where we are engaged by a client, we process the contact and assignment information necessary to perform that engagement.

Legal obligation. We process information where the law requires us to, for example for tax and accounting records or in response to a lawful request.

Sending us information, speaking with us, or being contacted by us does not automatically mean that SENQIVO represents you or that you are being put forward for any role.

We will not submit, forward or disclose your personal information or CV to a specific prospective employer without first telling you which company is involved and obtaining your agreement to that introduction. If you would prefer we do not hold your details, or do not contact you again, tell us and we will act on that request.

Prospective employers. Only where you have agreed to a named introduction, and limited to information relevant to that role.

Clients’ contacts. Where a company engages us, we may share candidate details with the individuals involved in that hiring decision, again only with the candidate’s agreement.

Service providers. We use business service providers who process information on our instructions, including website hosting, database hosting, email and transactional email delivery, and document storage. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.

Professional advisers and authorities. Where necessary for legal, accounting or regulatory reasons.

Some of our service providers, such as hosting and email providers, may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards recognised under UK data protection law — such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum — to ensure your information continues to be protected. You can ask us for more detail about the safeguards that apply.

We keep personal information only for as long as it is relevant to our search work or required for legal purposes.

Website enquiry records are retained while we follow up on the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards so we have a record of the contact. Candidate and client records relating to search activity are retained for as long as the professional relationship may reasonably continue, and are reviewed periodically so that information which is no longer relevant is deleted. Records we must keep for tax or legal reasons are retained for the period the law requires.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing contact@senqivo.com.

We limit access to personal information to those who need it for our search work, use access-controlled and password-protected business accounts, and store website submissions in a hosted database that is not publicly readable. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable and proportionate steps to protect the information we hold and to respond quickly if a problem arises.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not run third-party analytics. Only technical requests necessary to deliver and secure the site are made. If we introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this policy and put an appropriate consent mechanism in place first.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to be informed about how your information is used; to request a copy of the information we hold about you; to have inaccurate information corrected; to request deletion of your information; to restrict or object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests; to request portability of information you provided to us; and to withdraw consent where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@senqivo.com and tell us what you would like us to do. We may ask for information to confirm your identity. We will respond within one month, and will tell you if we need longer because a request is complex. Exercising your rights is free of charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at contact@senqivo.com so we can try to put it right.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, the supervisory authority for data protection in the United Kingdom, at ico.org.uk. Contacting the ICO does not affect your right to contact us directly.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our activities or in data protection law. The current version is always available on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
